My television has recently died of old age. I am thinking of replacing it with one of those supercool LCD TVs that are of fashion nowadays. But when I rearranged the furniture to make up for the space the TV left, I realized that the place looks much better in the absence of that noisy, black box, with its flickering images and everlasting chatter. Its absence made the room delightfully still.

It is really hard to imagine a world without TV nowadays, we have given too much importance to it. I loved your description of it - noisy black box, its just perfect!
so true, arti. i now watch tv through my computer monitor. good thing it has a tv tuner. :)
more book space. :)
got to have those shelves first.
i don't think i'll survive without my tv these days.
if you TV died I probably wouldn't notice it since I prefer being online than sitting in front of a box.
i haven't watched TV, in years.. and i don't feel i missed anything.. just have more peace...
