Hunched over my desk against the inaudible hum of workaday existence—supposedly reviewing modules while actually staring at our itinerary and imagining what fun we’d have in those places--I felt that delicious sensation of excitement diffuse through me. Glancing every now and then at the calendar, I—though acutely certain of its impossibility--willed the days to move a little bit faster.
In less than two months D and I will go on another vacation, something we’ve planned and looked forward to since we came back from Thailand early this year. There is something sweet in knowing that after spending an awful amount of time mired in the prosaic back and forth of every day, I will be with the love of my life once again.

Hi Angeli, best of fun to you on your planned break away.
But given the disaster that has afflicted so many in your part of the world will you please be careful when selecting where to holiday?
Here's an article which may be of interest as it covers the cause and the historic reality that your locale is truly a dangerous place to live. Would you not consider moving somewhere safer to live?
I think I would.

I am so happy for you Angeli. Where are you going?
have a blast Angeli :)
Thanks Amelia. Remember I was asking you about the tour agency before? That has something to do with this,
Hi Agnes. This time we plan to go to Vietnam and then Cambodia. :)
Hi Unstranger. I read the article. Those series of earthquakes are, indeed, related, and they happened in places not so very far from the Philippines, too. So what place would you recommend? I read that Ireland places fifth in terms of the 2009 Human Development Index.
Oh wow! You lucky girl :-D
Angeli, I don't know what the human development index is but Ireland is an expensive place to visit. Everything costs a lot here, but it's a great place too. Britain or Spain are much cheaper, Spain especially.
wow! a vacation with the love of your life. what more can one ask for? :)
happy for you! i'll miss you when you go on vacation... especially when i know that when you come back, it'll only be few days left for us to spend, then i'd have to leave and won't see you for a long time... a year is a long time, isn't it? :)
when you leave i won't be losing a colleague but a very good friend. but don't worry. there's always FB and our blogs to keep us connected, right?
:)
