Can I write anything beyond these?

Monday, August 10, 2009

Why is it that words flow smoothly when I’m down in the dumps or dissing somebody but feel contrived when I’m neither? Sentences fashioned from pain and anger, phrases that mirror the sadness that lurks at the edges of my life, words drawn from deep wells of feeling – can I write anything beyond these?

roth is an onanist, hemingway is a drunk, and you like pain. hahaha!

masochist? hahahaha

onanism and drunkenness - intended to provide momentary gratification and happiness - can't be that bad, can they? :)

Writing and music and people cannot be separated.

Old blues adage, unless you've lived it, you can't sing it.

You're learning.

probably you're writing this kind because you're currently feeling it, am I right? but I know you can write other than this kind....will look forward for it Angeli :)

I feel you. I think I'm at my best during extremeties. But normally when I'm too sad, I try no to blog.

Yes, been there done that, but I'd love to have your natural gift with words. You write differently than others and you write superbly well. I am still learning too.

@ekstranghero, amelia
beyond pain and anger, medyo kailangan kong pag-isipan. it doesn't flow naturally. :)

thank you. the good thing about blogging is that in the process, we learn how to write. as they say, practice makes perfect, right?

writing, for me, is therapeutic. when i'm sad, that's when it's easy for me to write. it's like i write my sadness away. :)

tama ka. saan nga natin huhugutin ang mga sinusulat natin diba? :)
