Sometimes I ask myself, why do I even bother? Only a few read my daily drivel, and what they read probably doesn’t make any difference, anyway. If nobody cares, why bother? Why do I put so much effort to fashioning sentences that earns me neither a grade nor a profit? Because I love to write. Writing is a form of introspection where I can examine and reexamine my thoughts. It’s through writing that I can concentrate and put some semblance of order to the chaos contained inside my head. Nothing, not even the lack of readers, can make me refrain from finding the proper words to describe my life and the world I live in.

Most of the times I write "as if no one is reading". I love your scribbles, Angeli.
Sometimes, I feel that my writing validates my beliefs, my truth. The words concretized and shed light to what have been lurking in my head. Honestly, I like reading your post. Your world seemed truer to me than those of others. And I felt like I understand what's on your mind (to some extent I'm not sure) and that you'd probably understand what's in my brain. hehe.
Hi Jo. Yeah, blogging is like having a conversation with yourself and not just your readers.
Mordsith, you it so well. "My writing validates my beliefs, my truth." That's precisely how I feel, too. [and i'm looking forward to your new post. i was able to relate with your "so what if i'm from UP" post :)]
It feels really great to be appreciated and understood. Jo, Mordsith, thank you.
:)
I think the best things in life are not necessarily "profitable". Passion is everything, Angeli.
I love the way you write :-)
the beauty of writing is that you just have to love it, and it will love you back. angeli, you write so well and blogging wouldn't be the same without you.
you blog because you are special, smart, clever and most of all hopelessly pleased with the inane comments from lesser mortals. that is my story and i am sticking to it. :)
I blog for my own pleasure :-), not to please or provoke somebody else. Like what others already said, it's like a personal journal where you organize your thoughts and make sense of the world around you.., Or maybe blogging is like creating a scrap book, a work of art or whatever you consider it to be. Comments or no comments, followers or not -- it does not matter!
i know you'll keep on writing, no matter what... and that leaves me an assurance i have something to read everytime. :)
guess we all feel you're good in writing, but i think that what matters to you is that you write. :)
by the way, i have another, less serious blog. of you have time, you may check it if you want. :) (mordsith.i.ph)
this are some simple pleasures for you Angeli... :)
Thanks, everyone. Writing is truly one of my passions in life. Being bloggers, yourselves, you know what I mean, right?
Your comments keep me inspired everyday. Again, thank you.
:)
For every comment posted Angeli there are so many other visiting who don't post. Don't be bothered. You're seriously good at this.
you write so well. and a lot of people really like your writing -- substance and form. i am one of them. but like what these commenters are saying, what is important is that you get to write when you want, what you want. i believe most accomplished writers write for themselves, and not for others. (and this is what differentiates writers from journalists -- and i don't even know why i said that. hehehe.)

"Substance and form." What a nice thing to say. :) Thank you.. I added you to my blogroll. I hope you don't mind. :)
