damsel in distress

Friday, October 5, 2007
It’s funny how we advocate women’s rights, call for gender equality, fight for female independence and empowerment and yet still act like damsels in distress waiting to be rescued by our knights in shining armor. What’s even funnier is that we don’t even need to be rescued. We can damn well do what needs to be done – on our own. We just like to know and feel that there is somebody out there willing to rescue us.

is there a need for guns and bolos when simply replying to an email (several emails at that) will do?

you're so my experience, i like my independence, being able to eat alone without minding what other people think, shopping alone, and just simply being comfortable being on my own. amidst my feeling of being miss independent, i still long for that feeling. you know, that feeling that longs to be rescued, to be held, to be hugged. it's weird.
