I need help

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

I have a theory: the more I spend time in the pool, the easier I will learn how to swim. After five consecutive nights of willing my body to float, I realized that it is not as easy as I thought it would be. Clearly, I am not the plankton I thought I was. The other unit owners must have been bemused at the nightly sight of that lone young lady treading water in an unheated pool, who cannot even dare to let go of the rails for fear of drowning in chest-deep water.

I realized that unlike other skills that I can learn on my own, swimming is something that I desperately need help on. The more I analyze what I should do and how I should do it, the more my body refuses to do the things it has to do.

My gosh, we're on the same boat. Almost all the people in our clan know how to swim, but me... haha. To think that since I was a kid I spent time much in the too many pools in Laguna. Promise, I'll take a lesson once I get comfortable with the thought and find time.

I think getting a swimming instructor could really ease your fears. I'm no expert in swimming, but having someone to help you would really help. Be careful now, okay?

mind over matter :) you can over come that fear and probably enrolling in a swimming lesson will help or ask somebody to teach you how to, a friend or something :)

just keep on trying...

get an attractive swimming instructor just in case you need a mouth to mouth CPR. :)

Always sensible to get instruction in any new endeavour; but for swimming it's essential. The sooner you do, the sooner you'll start having real fun.

hey guys! i am starting with my formal swimming lessons tomorrow, yay! :)

the swimming instructor is a woman. :)

at least now i'd feel safer because there'd be a professional watching and guiding me.

hahahahahahaha..

tomorrow's my first day. i should've gotten a hunky swimming instructor with washboard abs and sexy glutes, huh? but then he probably would concentrate on looking good all the time, instead of teaching me how to swim. :)
