Entering Into an Affair

Thursday, May 28, 2009

I realized that it is so easy to enter into an affair with another man. But just because it is easy or we can get away with it does not mean that we do it, right? We can give in or walk away. I realized, too, that there are certain forces—forces that vary for every one of us--that would prevent us from getting sucked into that endless spiral of desire, temptation, surrender, cover-up, confrontation, lies and more lies. The question is if we let those forces prevail or not. Some let them; some don’t. Ultimately, it still is our choice. It sounds trite yet still rings true, the kind of life that we have is a result of the choices that we make.

sometimes, we are blinded by the things that we want, not seeing that they are not always good for us... it is always easy to get into things, but getting out is not always the same way.

life is what we nake it, they say. we reap what we sow.

When happiness remains elusive, happiness in oneself and with what one has, it will paradoxically keep itself distanced. It is why such moments or encounters are noticed and may even be sought out and even dabbled with.

It's normal behaviour but it's just a 'souls' display of lack of fulfilment. As long as one remains alert to the dangers there should be no difficulty going through it.

i agree with unstranger. as long as you know the limitations and what-not you shouldn't worry. after all life is full of uncertainties. you'll never know what's in-store for you....

just follow what your heart tells you, but first you have to be still in order to hear what your heart is telling you. :-) ..

.. and i think you already know what your heart is telling you, he he..

hay naku, artemis. do you think hayden followed his heart when he did all those supposedly-for-own consumption videos? and katrina followed her heart too? :)

if you think about it, it really is crazy what makes us do things contrary to reason or even our core values.

unstranger, you are right. the quest for happiness for lack of fulfillment is normal. but isn't it normal, too, that our alertness or judgment fails most of the time?

and amelia, we do know the limitations of our actions, but STILL WE DO IT, diba?

to bonobo chimps it is not a big deal. it is a form of conflict resolution. why do we have to evolve? :)

no wonder they are an endangered species. :)

for something to survive, it must have some adaptive value to it, right? otherwise, natural selection would take care of it.

i don't think hayden or katrina followed their hearts, i don't think they spared some time to go still and listen to their hearts. obviously, they didn't follow their reasons either,.. they followed something else.. and you know what.. :-)
